The second on the list were the IRIScan Executive 2 and IRIScan Express 2 both of which were very popular on the web with higher sales, but more diversified ratings. Many people found those products to be easy to use, while others found them to be slow and incompatible with MAC OS or Windows Vista. Some users complained about the PDF produced via MAC where non unsearchable.

Finally we landed on the Pentax DSmobile 600 Scanner which seems to be cheaper and had good reviews in general.

Needless to say that the market is not over saturated with Portable scanners, and you might want to shop of fewer more options, however the scanners Jeak mentioned in this review seems to be what is making buzz out in the world of scanning.
